Dr. Carandang, an anxiety expert, is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has a medical license from Washington State. He has extensive experience treating patients with anxiety and depression. Dr. Carandang has been on the medical staff of multiple hospitals, including the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals, Maine Medical Center, Spring Harbor Hospital, Southern Maine Medical Center, and IWK Health Center. He was on the faculty at two medical schools, teaching medical students and residents, first as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and most recently as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Carandang was Assistant Editor for the Journal of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and was an ad hoc reviewer for numerous other psychiatry and medical journals. Additionally, Dr. Carandang has extensive experience with research in the areas of anxiety, depression, and psychopharmacology, as evidenced by his 34 publications and 6 research grants to date. Most recently, he has published his first book, Anxiety Protocol, which is a self-help book on anxiety.
Dr. Brankica is a medical practitioner licensed in Macedonia. She is a Sub-investigator with the University Clinic of Pulmonology and Allergy in Skopje, Macedonia; a member of Coordinating Mechanism, the Global Fund for HIV and Tuberculosis; a project assistant for IPA Programme, European Union; and a Public Relations Officer for the Youth Educational Forum.
Emily Knapp is a lifestyle expert who focuses on health, fitness, diet and home. Emily’s interest in health and nutrition led her to concentrate her writing passion on helping herself and others find a more natural and real approach to life and living.
As a sufferer of GAD, Emily finds comfort in confronting her own anxiety and being able to convey a message that is both personal and practical. Her articles that include tips and commentary on anxiety and stress encourages people to step ouside their comfort zones and learn to overcome their mental limitaitons to live life to the fullest.
Emily graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelors in Kinesiology and currently resides in the Bay Area.
