What is the prognosis for panic disorder?

The prognosis for panic disorder is typically chronic in duration, and if you do have recovery, there is still a high rate of relapse. If you have panic disorder with agoraphobia, then the panic disorder is longer in duration, more severe, and associated with more co-occurring mental disorders, when compared to someone who has panic disorder without agoraphobia.
