Yes, KalmPro can help you for anxiety-related sleep disturbance. I formulated KalmPro as a natural alternative to prescription medications for anxiety, given all the side effects of prescription medications. In my research, I found a few natural herbal and nutritional ingredients that could help for anxiety, and then picked from that shortlist any that could fit into a capsule for easy, convenient, once-daily administration by mouth. So I came up with the ingredients that would fit into a capsule which I market as KalmPro, and it contains 5 key natural ingredients for anxiety: inositol, lavender, passionflower, l-theanine, and lemon balm. I didn't include kava, as it can cause fatal liver damage. And I didn't include GABA, as oral GABA does not cross the blood-brain barrier when swallowed, so therefore is useless for anxiety, a brain-based disorder.
Interestingly, with regards to sleep, lavender has studies showing it improves anxiety-related sleep disturbance without causing sedation (Kasper et al., 2010). Passionflower improved sleep in people with mild sleep problems when compared to placebo (Ngan and Conduit, 2011). And lemon balm was effective for mild to moderate anxiety disorders and sleep disturbances (Cases et al., 2011). So of the five ingredients in KalmPro, three are effective for anxiety-related insomnia.
To date, about 90% of people who have taken it have responded, with minimal side effects, the most common being gastrointestinal upset, which is remedied by taking KalmPro with food. But there are about 10% who do not respond, or have side effects leading to discontinuation.
