Can social phobia go away by itself?

0 votes
I have social phobia, and I can't afford a therapist and can't afford the cost of medication. Does it ever go away on its own?

Social phobia can go away on its own, but it takes a long time for it to go away naturally. The average age which social phobia starts is 15.1 years, and it lasts an average of 16.3 years (Grant et al., 2005). In other words, it usually starts in adolescence, and last a long time.

But why wait for 16 years for the social phobia to go away on its own? You can get help now for relief from social phobia. Please visit the rest of the AnxietyBoss.com site for more information and help on social phobia.
