Antidepressant side effects usually go away after a couple of weeks of discontinuing it. However, there could be lingering side effects, such as post-SSRI sexual dysfunction, where sexual side effects continue even when the antidepressant is discontined, and discontinuation syndrome, where there are severe withdrawal symptoms on decreasing or discontinuing the antidepressant...these lingering side effects when the antidepressant is discontinued is described in more detail here: https://anxietyboss.com/anxiety-treatments/ssris-selective-serotonin-reuptake-inhibitors/.
