Can you use an alpha blocker for performance anxiety?

The answer is no. Alpha blockers, such as prazosin (Minipress), is prescribed for high blood pressure, and is also prescribed for traumatic nightmares associated with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). There are no studies showing that alpha blockers are effective for performance anxiety.
