Persistent sexual side effects from SSRI taken for anxiety

+1 vote
Many years ago I took Zoloft for a month for anxiety and depression. As a result, I have persistent sexual dysfunction. I saw that you wrote an article on this. I am trying acupuncture and Chinese medicine. However, I don't think they are helping. Are you aware of any treatments for this? Thanks.

There is not much to do about PSSD (post-SSRI sexual dysfunction), as it seems to be a permanent side effect. You may try getting your libido and arousal back by talking with your doctor about taking Viagra or Cialis. I realize this is mainly for men, but I have prescribed these medications to women with good success.
