Why would I be prescribed Viagra if I have a headache disorder?

+1 vote
Why would my former PCP prescibe Viagra even though he was fully aware that I have a severe headache disorder? He never told me the primary side effect are headaches from this medication. I had to find out the hard way on my own. I only took it on 2 occasions until I did research and found out the side effects.

Thanks for your time!

Dear Lee, headaches are a common side effect of Viagra (sildenafil), and your doctor should have explained that to you before prescribing it, given you have a history of severe headaches. I would recommend you find another PCP.
