what is the proper dose to start on?

I've been taking 50 mg of Zoloft for the past 5 months, now it's been five days since I've doubled my dose. then 5 days after that, I stopped taking it altogether. now I wanna start again. what do you think is the correct dose to start on? note: my health provider is not available.
