Best answer
A person who is a hypochondriac would not be an effective doctor, as they will most likely focus on studying medicine so that they can diagnose (and treat) themselves. Certainly, there are some doctors who go into medicine or surgery wanting more insight and knowledge into the medical conditions they suffer from. However, a hypochondriac who is a doctor will spend most of their time looking for their own possible illnesses, and not focus on their patients who need all of their attention to both diagnose medical illness and treat it. So the best answer would be that a hypochondriac would not be an effective doctor. But it is highly unlikely that a hypochondriac would finish medical school, as they would be too focused on the illnesses they think they have.
