Although the neurobiology of the vomiting reflex is not completely understood, we do know that the Central Nervous System (CNS) mediates vomiting. So when you have anxiety (nervousness) and stress, the amydala is activated and this in turn can activate the vomiting center located at another part of the brain called the area postrema. So the answer is yes- nervousness can cause vomiting.
