There are no medications that treat hypochondria, or health anxiety. Medications are only useful for any co-occurring depression or anxiety disorder you may have, in addition to your hypochondria. For example, if you have depression in addition to hypochondria, then antidepressants may be helpful to treat the depression. If you have anxiety in addition to hypochondria, then antidepressants or other medications for anxiety may be helpful.
However, to treat the hypochondria, you need to engage in cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT. CBT will help you to identify your triggers, identify your irrational thoughts and think more rational ones, and identify your maladaptive behaviors and have more adaptive ones.
