What is the best food for nervousness?

Just wondering if there are any foods that I can eat to reduce nervousness.

Food alone will not address your nervousness and anxiety, but it can augment other primary treatments for anxiety, like CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), medication treatment, or self-help. Foods which help to decrease anxiety and nervousness are able to give you a feeling of well-being, and can be a part of the lifestyle changes needed to help eradicate anxiety, with the other lifestyle changes including exercise and adequate sleep, just to name a few.

Foods that are able to reduce anxiety and nervousness include:

  • fruits rich in inositol
  • fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids
  • nuts and seeds rich in inositol, magnesium, and omega-3 fatty acids
  • soybeans rich in magnesium and inositol
  • dark leafy greens rich in magnesium
  • chocolate rich in magnesium
  • eggs and milk rich in inositol
  • herbal teas
