I'm sorry to hear that your PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) symptoms are re-emerging. Without a clinical assessment, I am not able to determine the reason why your symptoms are coming back. Possibilities could be that you have not dealt with the trauma adequately, and any reminders of the trauma or associated events may be triggering you now. And with some people who have PTSD, the illness can last a lifetime, with a lifetime of alternating between being symptom-free and being symptomatic (Carandang, 2014).
