Hi. It’s Jenny at AnxietyBoss.com. Our question today is from Ben in Chicago. Can Celexa cause dry mouth?
Yes. Actually one of the side effects of the usage of Celexa is dry mouth. Drinking alcohol while taking Celexa can increase this side effect as well.
If your dry mouth is severe, speak to your doctor and he or she may adjust the dose that you’re taking so that you no longer experience this.
If you would prefer not to take that trip to the doctor, then there are some at home remedies that you may be interested in trying. The most obvious remedy is to drink a lot of water. You may also find it helpful chewing gum that’s sugar free. This applies to sugar free candies, too.
Additionally, try to avoid breathing out of your mouth whenever it’s possible. If you still find that these remedies are not curing your dry mouth, then you may find that purchasing a room vaporizer would be especially helpful.
